When I was growing up, you knew you were one of the cool kids if you watched Beverly Hills, 90210. You were even cooler if you just referred to is as 90210. CBS DVD and Paramount have just released the ultimate collection for true fans of the show, or those who are playing catchup decades later. For those like me who were not allowed to watch the initial run, the teen drama was an Aaron Spelling production and ran for ten seasons, all the way from 1990 to 2000. The show follows twins Brandon (Jason Priestly) and Brenda (Shannen Doherty) as they move to Beverly Hills, California after spending most of their lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show was a soap opera for teens and talked about sex, homophobia, animals rights, drug an alcohol abuse, violence, racism, suicide, teen pregnancy, and things like eating disorders. It made legends out of Jason Priestly, Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty, and Jennie Garth.
The ultimate collection is a massive 74-disc collection, featuring not only the original show, but the reboot that took place 19 years later in 2019. You’ve got 10 seasons of the show, behind the scenes footage, interviews with the cast, promos, gag reels, and a segment from Entertainment Tonight.
