Forgiveness: The story of Eva Kor, Survivor of The Auschwitz Twin Experiments

Share
Eva Kor was once a twin. Unfortunately, due to the disgusting experiments of the Nazi Josef Mengele, she would lose the rest of her family and suffering horrific tortures. The new graphic novel, Forgiveness: The Story of Eva Kor, Survivor of the Auschwitz Twin Experiments,  is an illustrated biography of her experiences. Written by author-illustrator Joe Lee, the graphic novel includes the real stories of Eva Kor’s life, told to him by her.
This graphic novel can be extremely difficult to read, as Eva Kor was only 10 years-old when she and her twin sister, Miriam, were  sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Their family was put into a gas chamber. Miriam and Eva were separated and experimented on. The book includes images of starving people, horrific medical experiments, and the brutal murders of people guilty only of being Jewish.  However, the book includes what happens to Miriam and Eva Kor after the war, and their creation of the group CANDLES (Children of Auschwitz Nazi deadly Lab Experiments Survivors).  The two continued to suffer major medical problems and growth issues from the experiments and starvation that they endured in the prison camp, leading to an early death for Miriam.  Eva Kor’s legacy leaves readers with her forgiveness and informs readers of the important power of sharing your story.
Forgiveness: The Story of Eva Kor is available October 5, 2021.
