Have you ever read a comic that made you go “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” and grab your hair in frustration? Because that is this issue of Snow Angels.
I’m currently in “just along for the ride” mode because I don’t know what is going on and it is making me angry. (good thing I’m not the Hulk)
Snow Angels season 2, #4 picks up right where the last issue stopped, which means Millie and Mae are separated, hurt and scared. Plus, the Snowman is still there, still mute, still no idea what he actually wants. (can you tell I wanna pull my hair out? good thing I keep it so short) I still love the art. I still love and am rooting for Millie and Mae. I just wish I had any idea of what happened and what is about to happen. Jeff Lemire is a freaking evil genius and it makes me annoyed that I’m basically bowing down to his story telling ability, all while waiting for any hint of why the things that are happening are happening.
Snow Angels could be just like any other post apocalyptic story, it could be, but it isn’t. And that is all down to Lemire’s writing style and Jock’s insane art talent. And it makes me angry…lol
That’s it. That’s my review for this issue. The pair is so good it makes me angry and I still don’t know what is going on. /le sigh
Snow Angles season 2, #4 came out from comiXology yesterday, Sept 21.
