Wondercon 2022 was a refreshing return to the convention-life and we jumped right in with learning about The Asylum’s Titanic 666.
Horror movies are definitely not this correspondent’s genre of choice but the morbid obsession with all things Titanic most definitely is. As with most of the world, James Cameron’s 1997 Titanic was the global gateway into learning about all things of the Titanic sinking. The movie balanced the grim reality of the sinking, with legendary fictional romance story. Through the eyes of the main characters, we fell in love with the sheer magnificence of the ship to weeping as we witnessed the unfolding of events leading to tragedy. How many of us wanted to re-visit ship? How many of us wanted to revisit a very much haunted version of the ship?
