The Sandman was the reason I became a graphic novel addict. From its gorgeous artwork, to its complex and beautiful storylines filled with myths and legends, the series The Sandman has captured attention for a long time. Now, Neflix has finally released a trailer and a release date for the screening service’s adaptation. Folks, it begins streaming August 5th, 2022.
While we’ve been given a bounty of Neil Gaiman projects on film and television in the last few years, but The Sandman is probably the most difficult to adapt. If you look at social media, there have been multiple complaints about casting and regendering of characters. Give it a shot, friends. Neil Gaiman has been in the producer chair for this one, so I have a feeling its going to be a lot more like the Good Omens‘ adaptation, than Bryan Fuller’s American Gods.
