Andrew Cangelose and Josh Shipley are back with picture book about an ultimate birthday cake disaster. Revisiting favorite characters from the book This is a Taco, a group of Taco the squirrel’s friends are working together to make him a birthday cake. The inherent problem is none of them quite know how to make a cake, so in the process they learn all they can about birthday cakes with disastrous and hilarious results.
This is a Birthday Cake is hilarious and adorable. It is enjoyable for adults and children, and it reminds us that when we are creating sometimes going slow is much better than trying to speed up the process.
This is a Birthday Cake is available from Oni Press August 3, 2022.
