Skybound’s limited series Creepshow is not here to play around. The debut issue, of five issues, acts as a comic book anthology based on the Shudder TV series. Written by legends Paul Dini and Stephen Langford, the issue features the really messed up antics of Shingo the birthday clow. The anthology starts off with a grisly tale of what happens when you don’t listen to the “one piece of candy” rule, written by Chris Burnham.
The art is a perfect reminder of the pulp horror genre, and the chilling tails are frightening and fun. Issue #1 is an absolute hoot.
