Singer Studios and Lucy Liu’s virtual reality experience The Pirate Queen started by immersing audiences in the live of pirate queen Cheng Shih. Now, they’ve expanded their experience to include a podcast and a graphic novel series. The podcast is directed by Eloise Singer and narrated by Lucy Liu. The graphic novel, set to be published in 2026 by Andrews McMeel Publishing, will kick off the graphic novel series. Additional graphic novels will follow the story of histories female pirates, covering 17 women who led pirate fleets worldwide.
The Pirate Queens podcast series follow the creation of the VR epic and feature interviews with members of the creative team.
