With Fall officially here, Titan Books has released a new anthology for those wanting stories of wicked novels, books written on the skin, and journals that promise destruction. Bound in Blood features nineteen stories of horror that feature the written word in ways that will haunt the senses. Whether it’s the story of an old woman who must gather books to prevent wickedness from descending upon her, to young rakes learning all too late that a journal can contain destruction. Bound in Blood features stories from Adam Cesare, Eric LaRocca, Isy Suttie, Charlie Higson, A. G. Slatter, Priya Sharma, Lucie McKnight Hardy, Alison Moore, and Kim Newman.
While I usually find anthologies will have one or two stories that truly hit, I can confirm that almost every story in Bound in Blood has carved its way into my senses and memory. Editor Johnny Mains has done an admirable job in gathering a horror collection that drips with intrigue and fascination.
Bound in Blood is now available from Titan Books.
