There really are times where you shouldn’t go home again. Andrew Larimer knows that well, as years ago he fled his life in a small town after being part of the town’s horrible July 4th secret. Ronald Malfi has the small-town vibe down when it comes to horror. He perfectly captures the feeling of being trapped in a place where you can’t afford to leave, even if you really need to. Small Town Horror alternates between hope and hopelessness, but never loses the ability to capture the reader’s attention, beckoning them to find the answers to so many secrets as the characters face their mortality.
