Director Kane Parsons’ popular Youtube series is getting the A24 horror movie treatment with a film of the same name: Backrooms. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, and Lukita Maxwell, the film explores a strange world revealed when a doorway appears in the basement of a furniture show room. Backrooms comes to theaters May 29, 2026.
