The show To Catch a Predator was a media sensation. Host Chris Hansen was known for going after criminals that preyed on children, much to the delight of television audiences. When the show was suddenly pulled from the air, many true crime fans were confused that such a popular crime show would disappear. Primetime is “inspired” by these true events, but judging by the trailer I can’t imagine Chris Hansen signed off on this.
Primetime comes to theaters on September 25th, directed by Lance Oppenheim, and produced by and starring Robert Pattinson. The film also stars Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers.
