‘Darkest Dungeon’ Expands to Graphic Novels

Vault Comics has announced a partnership with Red Hook Studios (courtesy of Maximum Orbit) to expand the world of the game Darkest Dungeons into graphic novels.  Darkest Dungeon premiered in 2016 as turn-based RPG where the players learn about the psychological stress of the adventuring life.  Well known for its difficulty, the game quickly became a beloved in the Indie gaming world. Darkest Dungeons 2 came out in 2023.  Writer John Lees takes on the duties of bringing Darkest Dungeon’s story to the page, while Maan House does the artwork in close consultation with Chrs Bourassa, the creative director for Darkest Dungeon.
Vautl’s graphic novels will tell a canonical story set in the world of Darkest Dungeons and expands on the lore and mythology of the series. The initial debut will be part of a campaign on BackerKit.
