‘Wuthering Heights: House of the Damned’ is an English Major’s Nightmare

Want another adaptation of Wuthering Heights that will cause the Bronte sisters to roll over in their graves? The new Saban movie Wuthering Heights: House of the Damned is set to come to VOD and digital on October 16, 2026 and it isn’t even pretending to follow the plot. The film is directed and produced by Rebecca J. Matthews, based on the book by Emily Bronte as reimagined by writer Liana Failla, and stars Ross Townsend-Green, Sky Cheema, Elle O’Hara, Nicola Wright

Here’s the official synopsis:
Mr. Lockwood arrives at the remote and storm battered Wuthering Heights, unaware that Catherine’s vengeful ghost walks its halls. Her obsessed lover, Heathcliff, feeds her blood lust with human sacrifice, hoping to give her soul a new body to inhabit. As Lockwood grows sick and delusional, he is drawn deeper into their deadly, undying love, and must escape before he becomes their next victim.
