July 2016 LVL UP+ is themed around “Futuristic,” and stands fair to keep a geek in shirts for a while.
First, there is the Voltron shirt, a dark blue, strongly patterned shirt with plenty of color. It is attractive and recognizable, good for starting conversations and worth wearing around.
There’s a black Futurama hoodie for when the days get chilly. The patterning does not stand out well, but it features a range of characters and is good for cool summer nights in the park.
Then there is an adorable Bioshock Infinite Tank Top. To tell the truth, I don’t know who is in the image–Hard as I’ve tried, I have not managed to keep up on every interesting realm of geekdom. It is a cute image, though, and, like the Voltron shirt, a good, strong cover.
And it wouldn’t be a Loot Crate Lvl UP+ if it didn’t have socks. This July’s pair are Rick and Morty and Mega Man socks. The Megaman socks are bright and colorful, and the Rick and Morty well-patterned.
Overall, the July 2016 LVL UP+ offerings are a solid bunch. There’s nothing that stands out especially strongly, but the shirts are all well-made with good patterns, and the socks are fun and great for wearing.
