Ray Harryhausen’s stop motion film work was absolutely legendary. The man brought creatures to life before CGI was ever created, including skeleton monsters in Jason and the Argonauts and Bubo the owl from Clash of the Titans. He created the original Mighty Joe Young and monster effects that allowed Jules Verne stories to come to life. In other news, Harryhausen was a big deal when it came to creation in Hollywood. The new book Harryhausen The Movie Posters collects the promotional artwork from his greatest films and the history behind them.
One of the coolest parts of Harryhausen The Movie Posters is that it includes not only the original movie posters from the United States but posters from all over the world and in multiple languages. The quality of the book printing is excellent and with the hardcover it makes an awesome addition to a movie book collection or to be proudly displayed on your coffee table.
Harryhausen The Movie Posters is now available from Titan Books.
