The Feels is a fabulous Youtube show you’ve likely never heard of. Now starting its third season, each day in June 2019 they will be launching a new episode. The episodes are under five minutes, meaning it is super easy to powerwatch in the background when you have fifteen articles to write in a day. At this point in my watching experience, I want to be best friends with show creator Tim Manley.
The Feels is a bit like BBC’s SKINS when it comes to emotions, but without the drugs and nightclubs. The emotions are raw and real, and the short episodes feel like real conversations between friends and lovers. I feel like I’ve had some of these conversations, such as reading aloud to my cat. The show covers folks from multiple walks of life, but the main narrative follows Charlie, a young bi man living as a Public school teacher in New York. It also follows Sara, who is genderqueer and moving into a triad relationship.
One of the most amazing things about The Feels is that is shows that human sexuality is just one facet of who we are and how we experience the world.
