At the risk of embarrassing my daughter, until recently she was doing poorly in 4th grade math. We of course did the mature parent thing, and freaked out. Thankfully, we received a great offer to review the new game Mathland. The game is available for the Nintendo Switch. Video game that helps with math skills? Sold.
Mathland is from Artax Games and Didactoon and works as an action quest for kids. You play as a pirate named Ray. To gather spyglasses so you can go on to new islands and gather items, you have to complete math puzzles in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Your goal is to get all the sacred gems that have been stolen by an evil pirate named Max. There are over 25 levels and my daughter actually really enjoyed it. She asked to keep playing, even after she got her grades up.
