In June 2018, Toronto-based comedian Sophie Kohn wrote essay from the perspective of a father coming to terms with his daughter growing up. This essay has been adapted into the hilarious short film If You Ever Hurt My Daughter, I Swear to God I’ll Let Her Navigate Her Own Emotional Growth. With a monologue voiceover from Jon Hamm, viewers follow along with a dad who at first seems like a stereotypical overprotective dad, but quickly shows respectful boundaries with his teenage daughter Raina.
