As a HUGE Hellboy fan, heck, a HUGE Mike Mignola fan, I am so stoked to announce this! On March 3, 2021 Dark Horse Comics is going to be releasing a book full of some of the work the legendary artist has been doing during quarantine!
“I started out doing these sketches just as a way to take my mind off the pandemic, but as they piled up it became clear that we had to do SOMETHING with them,” said Mignola. “My wife, Christine, suggested donating to World Central Kitchen. José Andrés has been doing an amazing job getting food to people in need for a very long time, and now we are very happy to be doing what we can to help him with that.”
The book features an introduction by Chistine Mignola, alongside sketches of Hellboy, beloved and unexpected pop culture characters, macabre chess pieces, gothic vegetable creatures, strange vampires, and more. (see below)
