Just in time for spooky season, Blumhouse has dropped the first trailer for The Craft: Legacy. A movie that seems to be a continuation of the original and not a straight up remake.
The original movie, The Craft, came out in 1996 and immediately became a staple for young ladies who might like the dark side a bit more than most. (me, I was one of those young ladies) The story is one of teenagerhood, being ostracized, and coming into your power. It hit the right notes for many the first time around and this new offering seems to be poised to do the same. I had been leery when it was first announced last year, and was only truly mollified when it became known that it wasn’t a remake but a continuation. After watching the trailer more than once, I gotta admit, I am excited. And this time around, I get watch it with m daughters.
The Craft: Legacy is being released by Blumhouse on October 28th.
