On Netflix, you may know him as #4 or Klaus. In the comics, he’s referred to as Séance. In this issue of You Look Like Death, the Gods of Hollywood are trying to convince Klaus that his gifts could mean big business. There are vampire monkeys, old ladies cleaning up rifle burns, a vampire amusement park, power windows…and that’s just the first few pages. Klaus has been spending time with the legendary actress Vivian Clarke, but the Hollywood Gods reveal just why she was blacklisted in the first place. Klaus wants no part in it, but he also doesn’t want anything to do with a vampire chimp boss that wants him dead.
If you haven’t read the first three issues, I would definitely recommend picking them up first. Otherwise there is going to be some head scratching. To be fair though, you might scratch your head anyhow; this is an offshoot to the Umbrella Academy after all. The story is written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon. While the original artist Gabriel Ba has done one of the covers for this issue, the rest of the art and colors are done by I.N.J. Culbard and are just spectacular.
