Noa, Gus, Ko, and Astrid have created a ghost hunting show called the Spector Inspectors. The crew heads to Cape Grace, a town supposedly swimming with hauntings. With views dropping about the third episode, Astrid admits to her girlfriend Noa that she faked footage to get ratings. Noa is heartbroken, as she can’t believe her girlfriend doesn’t take her psychic powers serious. However, their relationship issues aren’t the only things scary in Cape Grace. When Astrid almost passes out, it becomes pretty clear that she is not herself, and something else is taking control of her body.
Spector Inspectors #1 is a team up from creators Bowen McCurdy and Kailtyn Musto. The art is true to BOOM! style, that stylistic cutesy style art that follows the line of cartoon more than realistic. I’m a fan, but I know not everyone is. The story is fun, and sets up for an interesting series. While I was lucky enough to read the digital copy, the print copy is oversized and runs about 30 pages.
