A few years ago, Americans had no idea they’d fall in love with a tiny Japanese red panda who uses metal karaoke to get out her rage. The new graphic novel collection Aggretsuko: Meet Her Friends allows readers to look at the story behind a few of the characters she interacts with regularly. With adorable artwork ala the cartoon show, this graphic novel looks at secret pasts, terrible coworkers, and what happens when someone insults the boss.
This collection features three stories, “I Cannot Compete with you, Protein,” “Fenneko’s Grand Plan,” and “The Golf Between Us.” All are great fun and make a point. Check out the character art at the back of the collection as well.
