Premiered at SXSW’s Animated Shorts Competition, the stop-motion animated short Love is Just a Death Away is an strangely beautiful entry from the Czech Republic. A small worm lives in the body of a dead dog at a trash dump. The worm uses the body to navigate the trash dump in his search for love. With no dialogue, the storytelling is a macabre but contains a universal message about loneliness.
