Twenty-five years-ago a plane full of young women soccer players crashed on the way to the playoffs. With only a handful of survivors found sometime later, the story has always been kept close to the chests of the survivors. When the survivors start to receive bizarre postcards with a symbol they know all too well from their time in the forest, the secrets they thought were dead and gone are still ready to haunt them all over again.
The box set of Yellowjackets is perfect for fans who devoured the series on Showtime, or who are trying their best to catchup before Season 2. The premise feels like a more witchy Lord of the Flies and does an incredible job capturing just what might happen to young women extremely traumatized by not just a violent plane crash, but the horrific things done in the name of staying alive. The soundtrack alone is worth watching for, but Juliet Lewis and Christina Ricci truly steal the show.
