Indie game developer Generic Lake Monster (got to love the name) has just released Quarterstaff for early release in the Steam store. You play a fighter with a quarterstaff (thus the name) and fight off creatures as you develop skills and travel through a mysterious world. Guided by a chameleon, the training sequences are awesome for beginners.
One of the coolest things about Quarterstaff is how many different ways you can play the game. Want to play with your keyboard? Great. Need to adapt with point and click? You got it. Generic Lake Monster takes accessibility with their games seriously, and I love it.
