The new comic series FML is a little bit out there, and I am definitely hear for it. When a writer, struggling with finishing her book and keeping her kids alive, is almost crushed to death by a falling plane door, she finds herself thinking about physicist (and Manhattan Project alum) Richard Feynmann. Oh, and for some reason her son has transformed into a monster, complete with teeth and horns.
FML is written by Kelly Sue DeConnick, with art done by David Lopez. I am in love with the visual and written insanity with this one, as well as tips on how to create your own ‘zine, and what to do when an idea just doesn’t work out for a story anymore.
FML #2 is now available from Dark Horse.
