To Ears With Love is a regular column about our favorite podcasts. Ever listen to a podcast, find it entrancing, only to binge listen to the whole thing and be left with nothing but silence or a Spotify playlist? FangirlNation is here to help with some suggestions.
Each week, podcast hosts Kyna and Ashley provide weird, morbid, and exciting facts from history on the new podcast Historical AF. Oh and they swear! Historical AF gives you a title that you can tell to your parents, and then turns around and tells you just what the AF stands for. Hint, it’s related to a four letter word.
Each week the ladies grab a drink, choose a theme, roll the dice, and then in the episode present their research. The dice options include Morbid AF, Spooky AF, Funny AF, Weird AF, Historical AF, and Random AF. This makes for some pretty funny listening, especially when you have to find something morbid for an episode on food. The episodes are well thought out, and with the fact that one of the hosts is an active librarian, the other a historian, you’re bound to hear something new each episode. They are open about their mental health, which is always comforting. As a fellow Texan, I feel the need to somehow become best friends with these awesome hosts.
